Bovine Decellularized Cartilage Matrix(DCM)
DCM-20
Background
Bovine Decellularized Cartilage Matrix(DCM) is a natural extracellular matrix material derived from Cattle cartilage after removal of cellular components. The material retains key cartilage matrix components such as Type II Collagen and Glycosaminoglycans, which help mimic the native cartilage microenvironment. In bioink formulations, DCM provides biological cues that support cell adhesion, proliferation, and chondrogenic differentiation. It is commonly blended with hydrogel materials to improve the bioactivity of printed constructs. Bovine DCM is widely used in 3D bioprinting, cartilage tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine research to create cartilage-like structures.
